Without a doubt, the most magical night of the year is the one which wave’s good bye to the last year and in which we set out a thousand and one resolutions and objectives which we hope will bring us new adventures. New Year’s Eve gets us dressed up and brings together families, friends and couples in a unique event. At Katagi Blau we want to help be part of the most spectacular New Year’s Eve which you have ever seen in the restaurant of our rooftop in Playa de Palma. Two high quality New Year’s Eve menus in Playa de Palma

At Katagi Blau we open the doors of our restaurant on our rooftop in Playa de Palma at 8:30 pm with an unforgettable menu. Diners can get themselves comfortable at their tables with a welcome glass of cava which will nicely accompany the starter which is centred on black truffle and egg yolk from our Truffle Praline, an authentic delicacy. After having a taste of excellence on your lips and enjoying the luxurious atmosphere of our restaurant on the top floor of the Hotel Llaüt, our service will go up a gear with the next dish: carpaccio made from prestigious Wagyu beef and almonds, all crowned by delicate pearls of onion, balsamic, a chive emulsion and mustard crumble.

Surf and turf delights: lobster tail and beef tenderloin

The best dishes of the night are yet to come, after the arrival of the aperitifs. The following dish is a select glazed lobster tail made to our exact recipe which will captivate the most exquisite of diners and lay out the red carpet for the meat: a tender grilled veal sirloin, accompanied by a potato and Pernod foam and a tarragon chimichurri. At this point, the night is already a success. However, the most exciting part is yet to come. We end this magnificent New Year’s Eve menu with some coconut  spheres, lychee, cherries and cherry blossom for dessert and the New Year countdown begins.

The Teppanyaki essence at our restaurant in Playa de Palma

This year we also have our excellent Teppanyaki menu. A delicacy presented with fresh scallops with a burn noisette, followed by an exquisite Australian lobster accompanied by Teppanyaki vegetables. In this menu we didn’t want to stray away from the magic of Wagyu meat: Wagyu beef fillet with ginger friend rice is the next star of the show. We have chosen to end this menu with a Dulcey Pannacotta accompanied by a mango ragout, hazelnut crumble and a champagne sorbet.
